How to Convert Video to Various Formats Using VLC

It may surprise you to learn that the world’s most popular third-party video player is capable of converting files from one format to another.

VLC Media Player is more than just a great tool for watching videos; it can also convert videos between different formats. The player allows you to convert between a variety of supported video formats. It works excellent for most formats and codecs, but there are a few flaws, and the conversion tool isn’t the finest, but it’s enough for the most of us. We may quickly switch between video formats by using it. As an example: Convert an AVI file to an MP4 file.

The steps for converting a video from one format to another are as follows:

1. From the Start Menu, launch VLC Player.
2. Select Media > Convert / Save from the navigation bar.
3. Select the Add File option and go to the file you wish to convert.
4. Select the Convert / Save option.
5. Under Profile, choose the video format you desire, such as -H.264 + MP3 (MP4)
6. Click the Browse option under Destination and select a location to save the file, as well as a name for the file.
7. Press the Start button

Once converted, play the file to confirm that the video and audio are shown accurately.
